Okay, more bento stuff!

Again, most of this was bought at Daiso. The bento boxes themselves were purchased other places.

An overview of the whole pile:

Baran (food separators) and soup spoons:

More baran, hashi (chopsticks) straps to secure boxes, and a wet wipe napkin:

Little silicone cups, a furikake shaker, sauce bottles and dropper to fill them:

One of the boxes, the inside of the other, and assorted stuff. The ghost bento was part of an auction lot I got off gothicauctions.com:

More silicone cups. food picks, and rice ball makers:

And finally, the lid of the other box. The small text says, "Time to lunch is happy tickling in your tummy!". It was bought at Archie McPhee.

Kitty fanaticism

I've mentioned that both of us are serious Hello Kitty freaks - I thought I'd prove some portion of this for you today. These photos are of our Hello Kitty bento stuff. In my next post I'll show you some of our other bento things too, mostly bought at Daiso (Hurray for Japanese chain stores opening US branches!).

First, an overview of the set:

Now some closeups of various parts. The insulated bag:

The baran (food dividers):

The two-layer box:

A shot of some of the smaller items:

The curry bento, used for more liquid dishes (note: this may not be legitimate, I can't find the official Sanrio copyright on it):

The hard-boiled egg mold:

A furikake shaker. It's really too big for carrying with lunch, but I couldn't resist putting it in the photos:

Smaller containers, hashi (chopsticks) and a case:

Mayo cups and plastic sheets that can be used as decoration or as furikake stencils:

A shaped rice ball maker:

Rice ball holders, great if you want a snack:

And finally, tiny sauce bottles, with a dropper for filling them:

it's a pretty fine bento set so far, don't you think?

I know I said...

That I was moving all my scrapbooking to my other blog, but this one belongs here more than there.

The past few weeks I've been playing the Hello Kitty Online Founders beta, which ended last night.

Here are a couple of memorable scenes from the game, saved as screenshots then given the scrapbook treatment. The first was taken when a glitch in the game transported me into an odd location:

and the second was taken the final night, when two of our guildmembers got 'married'.

There'll be more of these to follow as I recover the ability to use my mouse hand (....and fertilize, and harvest, and dig up, and plant more, and fertilize and harvest.....)

I'm going to be moving my scrapbooking stuff over to another blog, so please follow me over to Incidere quod Crustulum Noctem .  Fun awaits!

Exciting news!

I've become a part of the Stone Accents Studio team! I'll mostly be doing behind the scenes stuff there, to help keep everything running well. It's pretty exciting though!

On that note, September marks their first anniversary, so they're celebrating with all sorts of specials and prizes and gifts. You should definitely check it out.

An easy way to do that is to grab a copy of the latest SAS newsletter, which you can do right here.

Have fun!

Another layout, with a photo of my sister on St. Croix. The more I worked on this, the more it seemed to call for simplicity. This was the evental result.

New layout

This is a beautiful photo of my two younger kids, Emrys and Bethia. They are 18 and 17 respectively, born 15 months apart and often thought to be fraternal twins.

This was made with Tempus Fugit's Wildflower kit.

My daughter returned to California on Sunday. The house is quiet and empty and I've been wrestling with a headache that just won't leave.

Today on Jen Maceyunas' blog, she published the shocking results of her Nerd Test.  Well, being nerdy, I immediately had to go take the test myself.

Without further ado, let me proudly announce that I am a:

I am nerdier than 100% of all people. Are you a nerd? Click here to find out!

Scary, yes? Especially for never getting any sort of degree in college.

Once I get caught up on a few things, I'll be able to get back to scrapping. Hopefully will have something up in a few days.
